For years I suffered with impossible to clean and generally poorly designed humidifiers. This humidifier appealed to me for being the exact opposite of that. It opens completely to be able to clean and dry out all the parts when not in use. What a welcome change from my old teardrop shaped one that took weeks to dry inside… yes weeks! I never liked how my old humidifier never had a convenient way to carry it either. I actually dropped the teardrop shaped reservoir and cracked it, precipitating the need for a new one. This humidifier has a strong handle that makes it easy to carry. It reminds me of one of those fridge water purifier pitchers. Holding 3 liters of water, it doesn’t weigh too much to carry easily. When fully full it weighs just over 6 lbs. This amount of water can last up to a day on the lowest setting. If I want to crank up the humidity fully, it will last overnight. I bought it for my bedroom so that is perfect for me. It has 3 settings: low, medium and high. Also, it has a timer feature to let it run for 4, 6 or 8 hours. There is an automatic shutoff when the water level gets too low. It’s a very thoughtfully designed humidifier and the best one I’ve ever owned.

Considering the $150 price tag, I'm really surprised it has no automatic humidity setting.- As mentioned, no automatic humidity setting.- Requires good amount of MINIMUM water level. So the machine stops working when there's still plenty of water in the reservoir.I purchased this for my baby's room, but it just does not work for us. We switched from a $30 Govee humidifier paired up with a hygrometer to set humidity to around 55%. Although it's not the easiest to clean, it worked very well, keeping the humidity level correctly overnight.With Carepod mini on low setting, it fogged up the room to over 70% humidity until 2am, "ran out" of water (plenty of water left in the reservoir), and stop working to leave the room dried up at 30% humidity until the morning.Sure it's "easy to clean" (even though there's a huge hole right there where it's always wet, but not accessible or submergible, no cleaning instruction exist for it in the manual), but wayyy behind on tech even compared to cheap $30 Chinese humidifiers in my opinion.

Pretty good; first one had a malfunction and I got it replaced. Over all it's lasted me almost 3 years. It is pretty easy to clean but there are some nooks which is why it lost a star.you have to take apart the top (remove the rubber seal, open lid, clean and wipe down the interior and then put it back together) and the "stem" has a divet where it makes the mist , well that can get gross quickly and hard to clean. Ultimately I think that's where it died, even after regular cleaning (1x a week min), that divot just got buildup faster than before and I had to clean every other day and it just wasn't worth it anymore. But for 3 years of use, I'd say it worked pretty well since I ran this pretty much all day, everyday; and in that time I probably would have had to buy a basic replacement humidifier 1 to 2 times a year, which is close, if not more, in overall cost
