I use it all the time now as a major part of my exercise routine. On a great day, I do ten minutes of weighted hulahoop, 100 jump ropes, bo practice, and 10 reps each weight lifting. On a bad day, I still try to do hoop or bo.Great for strengthening your core muscles! You must keep your core engadged to keep the hoop up, so expect it to fall down a lot when you're just getting started. You'll know you're getting better when you can keep going for longer, which is really rewarding - great for ADHD, cause you can start to see your results as you progress (also, if you have enough room in your living room, you can watch TV while you hoop, rather than watch a boring exercise video). I've never been good about understanding what "tighten your core" means in exercise, but my body figured it out from hooping, which I think gave it a tangible task to complete that involved the core muscles. Results may vary, but I found I was just BETTER at it one day.Hoop has an outer foam for cushioning, but I would recommend wearing high waisted pants or a shirt while hooping for extra padding on your waist. Since the hoop is weighted, it might be uncomfortable against skin - will cause redness around the hip area if used shirtless or in your sports bra, and you can expect it to bruise a little before you get your form down. Don't overdo it; I would not hoop for any longer than 30 minutes in a single session. This hoop is a good weight for me, not too heavy, but not so light it's difficult to keep up with - remember, the lighter and smaller the hoop, the faster the rotations.The resistence band it comes with it also good. I don't use it as much, but I do pull it out on occation. Surprisingly easy to disassemble; there is a bulge that pops out the foam a little so you can easily press it. The actual use blew me away. I never hula hopped so well in my life haha. The foam ridges is something to get used to but doesn’t feel really discomforting. Feels like good resistance.
