I've bought them all and none of them are half as good as this speaker. As you are probably aware, bose has a unique sound signature and you can tell a bose speaker just by the sound, you don't need to see it. I've tried countless speakers and to be honest, they all sound garbage when placed against this one. This thing is a beast - loud enough to fill a room, absolutely crystal clear lows, mids and highs, deep bass that doesn't overpower the total sound. This speaker is as close to flawless as you can get. The sound is so rich and deep without ever getting muddy or distorted. Normally waterproof speakers are poor quality because the waterproofing muffles the sound, but not here - I don't know how bose did it, but they created the perfect portable speaker. It's so good I bought 2 so I can get stereo sound from them (the single speaker is obviously mono).Yes bose speakers cost a little more than the other brands but trust me on this, these speakers are 100s of times better than the rest. You get what you pay for and these are the best of the best. Your music deserves to be played on these - don't skimp on the speakers, these are the best money can buy. After the disgusting taste JBL speakers left in my mouth, it's nice to be able to have a proper pair of bose speakers.*edit* oh my God....I finally got my 2nd bose speaker and linked them up for stereo sound....it's quite simply the greatest set of speakers I've ever heard!! It immediately blows every other set of speakers I've ever heard right out of the water! Flawless, perfect, incredible...I simply don't have the right words to describe how good these speakers are. It is not a tin can disguised as a muscle car, it is pretty much muscled and can go vrrooom. The Bose Soundlink Flex offers clarity, sweetness, depth and substance in its interpretation of your music. It has powerful bass, appealing and sensible mids and plainly heavenly highs. No shrillness, no rattling or tonal distortion. It's a precision tool. With waterproofing and dustproof rating of IP67 it is a reliable companion outdoors or simply there when you're just in the mood for lounging and taking it easy. It can stay in the background, soothing and non-intrusive. Its 12 hour battery life will be sufficient to match your precious time. You can call it ear candy or honey to the senses. The bass is amazing for a speaker of its size. The battery life is quiet good as well, rated at 12 hours at 70 db at 1 meter and that appears to be pretty close to what I am getting. I will most likely get a second one for stereo. Note, I have a Bose Sound Link 3, and the small Revolve and I prefer the fidelity of the flex to the others.
