This is the smaller, bean-bag stuffed one meant for play. They come in a plastic bag with tags stuck into the bear's leg. Genuine with ear tag but no beautiful Steiff box. Well…then Luca came along. First off…I’ve honestly NEVER had a stuffed animal shed on me like this one did. Seriously, never. I guess “shedding” is better than…well, you know! Second of all….I don’t know who or how they measured this lil guy… a different Steiff bear I have is 13” (yes, I know, standing not sitting) and he looms over this guy like there’s no tomorrow. You could stuff two of these guys in that one! Thirdly, and lastly, Steiff … you have lost my respect and my business. Shame on you for outsourcing to other countries to save a dime…or a franc or whatever. The founder of Steiff, Margarete Steiff, would be utterly ashamed to see how you’ve taken her beloved company and desecrated it. I have lost all interest in continuing my Steiff collection.
