The only downsides are that there’s a seam on the inside rim and 99% of the time it’s not a problem but occasionally if it’s a hot & humid day and you’re on there for a while the seat material gets a little slippery so your skin might slide just enough to scratch against that seam. But pro-tip: just keep a paper towel roll in the bathroom for cleaning or whatever and when it’s a hot day or you’ve been on there for a while because last night’s taco Tuesday is about to attack for round 3, just rip a paper towel sheet in half and put each half on the seat under your thighs to both absorb the sweat and cover the seam from scratching. For most of your poop sessions the seam shouldn’t be a problem and the cushion is worth it! I haven’t had any problems with the material tearing so far like other reviews have mentioned, but I try to be gentle with it instead of sprinting to the bathroom at the last second and power-diving my butt onto it lol Just sit down gently and it should last for a while.
