This Dixon BSM33 brass adapter has a 3/8" male National Pipe Straight Mechanical (NPSM) thread on one end and a 3/8" male National Pipe Taper Fuel (NPTF) thread on the other. Its brass construction provides corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability. This adapter is suitable for connecting female NPTF thread to female NPSM thread.Hose fittings connect, control, change the direction of, and terminate the flow in piping and hose systems.     Great fittings for compressed air plumbing

    Great fittings.  I found these and have bought several in different sizes for my air compressor plumbing.  This fitting goes with a BFS33 ball swivel.  The BFS33 is a hose barb with a ball swivel to make air hose connections simple.  If you want to hook up an air hose between a compressor and a pipe on your wall, you need some kind of swivel to be able to make the connections without twisting the hose up.  These parts are for that situation.  Other sizes are also available.  I have use 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2".
