I believe that it’s Pakistani, but they’ve come a long way in past few years. I wouldn’t want to use it as a pry bar or a hatchet, but then I would never use ANY Damascus blade for that. Just my opinion. If your looking for a good do-it-yourself hunting knife, this would be a good consideration. Would lose if tested on Forged In Fire. *by J***R on January 14, 2020* First off, it has beautiful Damascus, better when held in hand than in photos. That said, the handle will not fit the hand of any adult, male of female, but I always intended to modify it anyway. More irritating, mine also came with a warp of about 1/4 inch when lying on my bench.
