There was a little overlap in the center but over time the foam forms the shape you need. They work very well. I live in NH. **Q: Is there any chance of a fire starting by putting the foam so close to the electrical?** A: I am, by no means, an electrician... but... the foam is to close up gaps and does not come into contact with any electrical components. Those fit very well. This kit does not contain sealers cut to fit two or three switch boxes. I looked for multi-switch sealers and found that they cost much more than these. I cut and cobbled together some of these sealers and it works just as well as a custom made solution. It was much less expensive this way. Two discoveries made along the way: 1. One wall in my house is not insulated anywhere near as well as all of the others. These are a real energy saver on that wall. 2. Some of my doors and windows are major heat leakers.
