The elastic waistband holds well, they are very breathable and cooling, very comfortable, and love all the pocket options to hold many items and have the security for important items with the zippers. I originally bought one pair for a lightweight, comfortable travel short for a very long international trip and they delivered on everything I hoped. I liked them so much I broke my rule of not having too many pairs of the same thing and ordered four more pairs recently. However, that's where the removal of a star comes in. The original pair has been worn and washed many times without issue. But one of the new ones is facing the same quality issue that others have mentioned of the crotch seam coming apart after only wearing 3-4 times, and none of those under any sort of strenuous activity. I read another review who mentioned they were able to contact Pudolla and get a replacement pair, but am running into roadblocks since they were sold by Amazon and I'm about 2 weeks past the 30-day return policy. I would still recommend these and have to others, but know they will be a bit of a roll of the dice.
