I wore it today and immediately ordered another in a different color. I wore it by itself around the farm; it was definitely short but not so short I ran inside when the UPS guy came. Late I threw on some jeans to go out and it was adorable as a long tunic top. The fabric and quality are substantial. The cut is nice. I'm a 40DD and it is maybe slightly tight across the top of my boobs, but it looks fine and is perfectly comfortable, and I'm on a diet anyway.Update: Ove been wearing this almost non stop since I got it. I like it even better. The style is so pretty that I look done, for the same effort as if I had thrown on a grungy t shirt. I wear it doing light farm chores as well as lounging around. After many days of wear there is very slight pilling around my boobs, but not very noticeable. No snags or tears. The fabric and construction are holding up. I'm hand washing, and only when it needs it, because I want it to last. A already ordered one in green and thinking of getting the purple, maybe even another in blue for when this one wears out. When the weather cools I'll pair it with a cool jacket or scarf. It's shorter than what I normally wear but not so short as to be embarrassing, had to be careful to stoop not bend over when playing with my baby cousins. I wear a size 16 in most dresses and got the 1x/2x, it fits well over my belly, hips, and thighs, where I carry my weight; I wear an impossible to find bra size 40b and it's a bit loose in the top, I chose poorly and wore a bandeau bra and it would show every now and then on the sides. I am too lazy to hand wash so I put it in the washer in a gentle cycle by itself, it survived. I just got the dress yesterday and I fell in love with it as soon as I put it on. Like other reviewers have said, it's not for someone who has a bigger bust since it is a little snug in the bust area, I'm a 34C, 5'8", and 136 lbs, and the small fits me perfectly. The elastic smocking at the back makes the bust area give a bit more room but not much. The color, I got the navy, is really pretty and the embroidery details dress up this sweet sundress. The dress comes to just above the knee, but there is several inches at the hemline that is semi-sheer, so you see more leg. I'm 56 and I don't find that to be a problem or inappropriate.
