It is my true size and I can not wear this bra for running or anything high impact because it is not tight enough to keep my breast in place. I wish I got a small. It was too binding to be comfortable and that's without the pads. **Q: Are the pads removable for laundering & if not, so, does the padding bunch up or would it be better to handwash in the sink?** A: They are SUPER easy to remove, and I definitely would take them out before you wash them. The pads (like in any padded type bra), are flimsy. I just sort of roll them up like a burrito, and tuck them back in the little slot, then straighten them out.
