Review: Excellent Finder Scope! - Great quality finder scope! Well built, sharp optics, easy to align, and sturdy. The best part is the right-angle viewing, SO much more comfortable than straight-thru finders. The correct-image really helps too. Big upgrade from my previous finder. I'm giving it 5 stars but I do have one complaint and puzzlement. For some reason, the finder has a field-stop that is approximately 13 or so millimeters in diameter. So, in essence, it's not using the full 30mm objective lens' light gathering ability, but dumbing it down to about half of the objectives capability?! Usually, putting a field-stop points to sub-par quality lenses, which doesn't seem to be the case IMO of what I saw when I inspected the optics?? Overall though, despite the field-stop, this is a really good finder and I give it a big thumbs up.
Review: No Neck Pain! Good finder scope. - I like this finder scope a lot. My neck LOVES it! I tried a standard spotting scope once and my neck tapped out before I could even get a view through it. I tried SVBONY's red dot spotter and at shallow altitudes of the telescope it worked fine for bright objects but as the scope's altitude goes up, the neck pain does too. This little RACI finder scope is your neck's best friend. It's easy to find objects in the sky and easy to adjust. I agree it would feel more solid if it had 3 screws to adjust rather than 2 screws and a spring but I've bumped it a couple of times and found it was still aligned. I did notice very little difference with the focus adjustments but it feels fairly clear anyway. If you normally wear glasses but don't use them when observing, this is far better than a red dot spotter. For a red dot you have to wear your glasses to use it. No need with this RACI finder. Just go from the finder to the scope eyepiece.

## Features

- Improve the light gathering capabilities; 30mm wide aperture; has a strong light gathering capability; allowing you to see faint objects in the sky
- Appropriate focal length; 120mm focal length; which is ideal for your observation; a powerful 6x crosshair; reticles make lining up your target easier
- Comfortable to observe; 90-degree right angle; comfortable observation angle improves the experience of using the finder; no need to bend over or twisting your neck; improve the experience of your observation
- Get a erect image; prism steering was added to the finder optical system; meet the observation habit that people always have
- Fully multi coated lens coating; improve the light transmission; provide a clear view of the night sky; ensures a sharp and bright image; making it easy to find your target fast
- The product is suitable for use in pure visual scenarios, and it is not recommended that customers use external high-magnification eyepieces.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ No Neck Pain! Good finder scope.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good optical quality, Spring instead of screw in mount is problematic.
*by P***. on January 19, 2025*

I own two of these. The price, when on sale is quite reasonable for the quality. The scope is multi-coated and quite bright and has easy to see cross-hairs. Crosshairs can be rotated to match your preference. Focusing is done by rotating the objective and then locking in place with the red lock-ring (if using for astro, this only needs to be done once...) The issue with this finder is its mount and alignment system. (Mount itself is sturdy cast aluminum). The finderscope is held in the front of the mount via friction of a rubber ring. This ring seats reasonably well but is not rock solid. In the rear there are two adjustment screws and one "adjustment spring" The spring is "self-adjusting" (yes - not user adjustable). The spring just does not provide sufficient grip/push to hold the finder in alignment. The screws need constant readjustment to maintain alignment. This is such an obvious design flaw, yet I see this design being in used in many inexpensive finders. It does not hold alignment! C'mon SVBONY - the fix is so easy. Just do what I did - screw out the spring thingy and replace it with an actual screw. I had to find a bolt to fit the hole size and I tapped out new threading for that bolt. With three screws it holds alignment pretty well (although the rubber band at the front I am still dubious of. The second SVBONY guide scop0e I have is mounted in the traditional two rings and six adjusting screws manner - it works great that way, Overall - Nice finder and optics, but dubious mount.
