Perfect for cool Fall days, but not a true winter riding tight. Not thick, but a nice thin fleece. They are comfortable and the material has enough grip for me to feel secure on the horse. Didn’t like the medium. Am keeping the large which is a bit loose but not so much as to require a belt to hold them up. The looser fit is more comfortable, looks better and is long enough for my 32 inch leg.Haven’t tried washing them or using in cold weather. In the 60s today. They wouldn’t be good in hot weather. The little silicone horse knee grips are cute, but I use more than my knees to be secure, so was happy that the material isn’t slippery. My phone fits in the pockets but phones and other valuables need to be in pockets that button or zip closed when riding away from the barn. Am planning to use them in Ireland so happy they are lightweight and will not take up much space in my suitcase. They could do double duty as street wear.
