Because of this, some colors cannot be called eyeshadow but are called pressed pigments instead as they have not been approved for use in the immediate eye area. This is super common these days- with higher end vegan brands as well as drugstore. The reason that these pigments have not been approved for the eye area has to do with their ability to stain the skin and not so much as they are a danger. Wet n wild is my favorite drugstore brand and KVD Vegan Beauty is one of my favorite sephora brands for sure. Both have pressed pigments and they have never stained my eyes nor have they irritated me in any way. Obviously can’t speak for what others are sensitive to, but since I am sensitive to many, many eye products, I feel I can say that they are worth to try for anyone at this price. **Q: Is the 10-pan eyeshadow palette, brown nude awakening, phthalate-free, sulfate-free, & paraben-free? sometimes they are not obvious in the ingredients** A: Hello, thank you for your question! This product is paraben-free and is formulated without intentionally added phthalates or sulfates. **Q: Hello. The item came damaged. What can I do?** A: Return it to Amazon.They have a great return policy. **Q: #7 says not to use around eyes. That is the color I purchased this palette for. Why would this be in an eyeshadow palette if it can’t be used on eyes?** A: In the USA, some pigments used in powder products are listed as “not safe for eyes” because the fda doesn’t wants to spend the money for testing to approve. Whereas in Europe, where laws for food and cosmetics products are way stricter anyway, they are all approved already. Including neon products that use synthetic dyes. Another reason they’re still not approved here is because some pigments can cause skin staining, but that’s usually only for bright colors. It's a mix of shimmers and matte shades - however, I would have preferred fewer shimmers and more mattes. The shimmer is also a little less subtle than I would like - but these are just personal preferences - no reflection on the quality of the product. I was impressed by the good pigmentation and staying power of these, particularly for the price.
