I probably could have gone with a small for a more fitted look. The arms could definitely be shorter. I've had it for about a month and warn it several times with no quality issues. The pockets are a bit small and awkward but I can still fit my hands in them. It's very warm. I get cold easily and if I just wear a t-shirt under it, I'd say its optimal temperatures are between 50 to 55 degrees without being too active. 60 degrees might be a little warm and I would at least wear a long sleeve shirt underneath at 45 degrees. If you wear a fleece under it you should be comfortable into the teens. But again, I hate being cold. Most of my life, I have looked for an amazing winter coat. The northern states are famous for Columbia and North Face. I have bouten both of those types of coats, and they have never been warm enough. This wantdo is way warm enough or so far. Today's high is 18 degrees low is 9 degrees, and I am way warm enough. I am waiting for the -20s farenheit to show its face. I am betting this coat will tackle it no problem. The only con about this jacket is the zipper, it's super cheap, but for 60 dollars who cares. Take it to a seamstress and get a new one put in. From trying it on, it seems like a good quality jacket that will keep me warm; and you cannot beat the price! I like all the pockets(4), the sleeve length is just right and it also seems like a sturdy jacket. I am happy with my purchase!SIZING: I am 5'8" and around 160 lbs with an athletic build. I know that my chest size is between 38-40 (because of my suit jackets). I went off the sizing chart (mainly the chest/bust size) and it put me at a medium. After reading some reviews, I debated between the medium and small because I do like my clothes to have that slim fit look. In the end I decided to go with the medium because I was nervous that the chest area for the small would be too tight. I am glad I went with the medium!! It fits me just right and leaves some room (but not too much) for me to layer clothes.
