Like the grippers on the bottom as we have hard wood floors which can be slick. I bought for my son who is 5.5 years old for crazy sock day at school. They are very thick (which isn't a bad thing), but he is picky about how tight his shoes fit on his feet so it was a little bit of a battle since the socks were thicker than I thought. That was probably an oversight on my part as I was last minute buying. My son is 7. His feet are probably on the smaller side for a seven year old and these are super snug. In my opinion maybe even almost too small. However, the stretch is serious. These socks have an amazing stretch ability in them. He loves them. They are super soft on the inside. They look, feel, and seem like a great quality product. The non-slip surface on the bottom leaves some to be desired, but maybe again my seven year old might be a little hard on them.
