It has 2 light modes which can be used separately or together . The wide angle light is great for walking or riding during the night and provides a large area if visibility, the spot light is great for focusing on something further away . The light weight and size allows me to comfortably carry the torch in my pocket or a small bag . I have not had to use the sos red light function but it is handy to have . The charge has managed to last me for 2 hours at a time with both spotlight and wide angle on at the same time which has been ok apart from one time when it ran out during a night time hike .
