**Q: Do you need a 2.5mm hex wrench to remove the three screws? The tool from Peak Design is very frustrating.**
A: You can use your own tools, screws are standard size.

**Q: what's the diameter of the downtube?**
A: It is triangular and about half an inch on all sides.  It is a direct replacement for the head that comes standard and works very well with a gimbal head.
