The level control knobs located on the front of the receiver act as level/volume output controls for each individual microphone. I hooked this system up to a sling studio live streaming video device and found that the mono sound comes only from out of the left channel. So I'll have to use an additional mixer if I want to use these microphones for my live video streams. That, and, like I said before, I will also need microphone holders that can accept microphones this thick. So what does all this mean? If you need a wireless system and you don't need to use the microphones on stands AND if you have an additional mixer that can turn a left channel only signal into mono (both channels), this system is a great buy. It comes with everything you need (even batteries for the microphones) to be up and running with it in five minutes or less. So, in summary, the pros far outweigh the cons.
