(see pic).I think in daylight - when ground is green - one CAN see these markersbut they do not visually "pop" out like an orange color might.That said, in those conditions one does not need markers so lack of 'pop' is ok.As indicated, I having no experience with markers but with that said I thought these markers are "whippy" (not stiff).So much so I gave some thought as to how to pound these into the soil.My guess/first take on how to effectively install was very successful.I used a screw driver to find a rock free spot for the 5" of the screw driver shaft.I then inserted a marker into that hole.I had a piece of pvc pipe 1/2" by 3ft. which I slide over that marker.I then held the top end and pounded marker into soil with a scrap 2x4 end until marker was even with pipe.this technique worked pretty quickly and made for an easy and consistent install.If I had any complaint it would be that the 3 reflective white strips are 1.5" long.My opinion double that would have been better but as it is probably effective as it is.So far.
