**Q: Does the stainless steal housing get too hot to touch when it is on? how about the knob?**
A: The knob does not get hot.The metal body gets extremely and dangerously hot to the touch.

**Q: Is the temperature control continuously variable, or does it have just a few settings?**
A: The thermostat is continuously variable, making this a real cooking appliance, as opposed to an induction cooktop with 7 or 8 settings. Cadco makes real appliances that anyone who cooks can appreciate. In the end I decided to return this Cadco model and went for the larger 220volt cooktop as I want to also use it for large stockpots, at least 16 quart. These are professionals quality items, so they'll cost more but worth it in my opinion.

**Q: will this work on a USA 110 three prong electric outlet?**
A: Yes, it will. I have used this type of hot plate for many years.

**Q: Is there a maximum temp cutoff switch?**
A: the knob is the only way to control the temperature. Low and high. No other switch.

### ⭐ Temp knob is dangerous!

The knob on this is dangerous. There is no click for it turn on and off, and gets bumped and turned on very easily. It is a fire hazard, thankfully the only thing damaged was other kitchen equipment and not my kitchen itself. The entire unit gets extremely hot, which the manufacturer does state in the manual, but the entire unit is hot enough to cause actual burns if touched. I have other hot plates that don't get hot on the outside like that so this seems like an unfortunate design flaw. Same with the temp knob.
