It took two of us to carry it upstairs. Hindsight would have us opening the box downstairs & taking it upstairs in separate pieces :o) **Q: How do you fit the wooden slats into the connectors and the drilled holes? Mine are too long. Do I need to cut them down or is there an easier fix?** A: I bought two of these beds and put them together myself, the installation was not reasonably helpful so I had to go on youtube to try to figure out a better way to install them so to answer your question I didn't have any issues with fitting any parts, I would suggest not to tighten the screws until you put the whole bed together otherwise you will go into the trouble of fitting the parts together.
