I had previously tried lots of ways to stain my wooden furniture black and they all came out blotchy and inconsistent. Several coats of lacquer with just a little of this mixed in and a quick sand with 400 grot paper and it looks like shop bought furniture. What a great finish, consistently black over the entire piece with a lovely soft sheen.
