There's an excellent video for how to install this battery pack with pre wired boots, just search on the battery name. **Q: Will this work with an orignal trim fit/950 set up? I would be replacing the 950 battery packs** A: Yes they will. I am using the Therm-IC Thermic Basic with a set of original trim fit heating units that are about 15 years old. I am using Duracell Rechargeable (2500 mAh) batteries and am getting 8+ hours of heating on setting (1 and 2). Only downside is how bulky they are. I used them for my snowboarding boots so it's not such a big deal with the bulk.
