**Q: Can you turn the light off while using the fan?**
A: Yes. The light switch and fan switch are separate.

**Q: Is the power adapter 12v or 9v? Can this run off a 12v battery?**
A: I have 2 other 9V / 6 D cell fans that I use in the camper & ice fishing house.  I purchased the 5.5x2.1 mm 12V DC plug here on amazon and attach it to my 12 volt power pack.  The 12V supply does increase the RPM on the fans, so I find that operating them on the lower setting moves enough air for me; all run great and none have fried in the last 2 years of using them this way.  This looks like a really nice fan with the lights!

**Q: Does an adapter come with the fan?  If not what kind would I need?**
A: Does not come with adapter. You would need a 120v to 9v adapter with the standard 9v plug. I use 6 rechargeable D cell batteries.

**Q: Why this fan takes that long to be delivered?**
A: everyone wants to have this on hand when power goes out

This product works great! came just in time, we had a power outage the same day it arrived! put the batteries in and was able to cool off in no time. I'm so glad we got 2 , one for upstairs and one for downstairs. The light feature is great also! we didn't need it since it was daytime, but I tried it to see how it worked, would be fantastic at night! Love these fans!

Great camping fan and light. Puts out some good air flow and folds up pretty small. It uses 6 D batteries!!! Anyway, I would have given it 5 stars, but the "on-off" switch is a poor design in my opinion. Its way too easy to accidentally knock the switch causing the light or fan to turn on. So if you're packing it into a bag for camping, it could turn on and waste your batteries. So learn from my experience and don't pack it with installed batteries, otherwise you are risking wasting the batteries as the fan will probably turn on inside of your bag. Other than that, this is a great fan.
