I popped off the decorative cap (which disintegrated) and used the correct size hex wrench to tighten it. It was frozen. After a day of Liquid Wrench and tightening and loosening the screw, I was able to remove the old handle. I figured I would just remove the screw, put some plumber's grease on it, and be on my way. I was never able to completely remove the set screw, so I looked this up on desertcart. A little costly for a die-cast handle, but it fit perfectly, and I applied plumber's grease before putting the set screw in. I will say that you should look at the numbers on the underside of your old handle and do a little research before ordering this.
