IT'S MY EVERYDAY GO-TO TIME-SAVING, MONEY-SAVING PROBLEM SOLVER!
For such a small price, it is already saving me a lot of money! How come? Because I live on the ground floor of a six-apartment building in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Between my neighbors and I we have five dogs. So i have a large ceramic bowl that I fill with water from a hose that is turned on INSIDE of my apartment, but which my 84-year-old brain regularly clicks off and FORGETS to turn the water OFF when the bowl is full. And sometimes it can run all night, water running down the drain, leaving me with a large water bill. So I decided i needed a small timer with a LOUD beep to keep my water bill down, and not worry about OVER-filling the dogs' water bowl. It also comes in handy for timing things like hard-boiled eggs.

Good and loud
I bought 3 of these and have scattered them around the house. The old one we used in the kitchen was simply worn out--the numbers no longer displayed. I dreaded trying to find one as loud as the oldie as it is difficult to find one that can be heard if not in the same room with it. All 3 of these new ones are definitely loud. The numbers are large enough to be easily read and the buttons, although quite small, are easy to operate. It has 2 small "super magnets" on the back that hold it securely. The only improvement I would like to see is in regard to the little flip-out support for free-standing use. It's difficult to get a nail under it to pull it out. Even so, this deserves a 5 star rating.

Un-ignorable timer with good magnets on back does the job!
I sit at a computer all day, and I need a LOUD reminder that it's time to get up and move around so I don't get stiff and sore. I get so absorbed in my work that I unintentionally ignore regular timers. I bought this timer specifically because one of the reviewers said it was too loud. It is loud! It does the trick for me! I'm also pleased that it has the most effective magnet on the back that I have ever experienced. I attach the timer to a metal file cabinet next to me at work and it never slips down or falls off, no matter how many times I open and close the file drawer or bump it as I pass by. This is definitely a keeper, and I highly recommend it.

Nice little kitchen timer
Nice looking and works just fine though you do need to read the instructions for re-setting (not difficult but wasn't intuitive to me - need to hold down both minute and second buttons at the same time). The beeper (alarm) is loud enough, pretty much like most electronic alarms - like on your stove or oven, loud enough to hear if you're in another room and alert to it. I'm just using it to stand on its own - not sure if the magnet is so strong, guess it depends on what you attach it to and how much jolting it gets (like on a refrigerator door).

Started good but, it is cheap junk.
Update: It has been about six months and the timer is done. First the buttons started to go. It took more than one press to get the timer to accept it or a single press resulted in a double press being registered by the timer. This starts to get a bit frustrating. Now, the display is gone. I am so tired of companies producing and selling crap. I am changing this from 4 stars to 1.Original review:Just a good kitchen timer that sticks to the range hood, with a large display, and the buttons can be operated without knocking the timer off the hood. My only complaint is the reset is a two button and two hand operation most of the time. Both the M and S button must be push simultaneously to zero the time. Some times I can hit this right with one hand, two fingers but, most of the time I have to use two hands.

A tad annoying
This thing is LOUD & it beeps every time you press the minute or second button to set the timer. Even when you hold it down to set the time faster: beepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeep. Very annoying. It has a kickstand as well as two small magnets on the back so it will stick to the fridge.

Liquid crystal. Really?
Eh. It works. Break a nail trying to get the lame legs to open. I just gave up. No back light. Alarm is fairly soft. I value this at 3 bucks at a yard sale. It's like one of those digital watches you'd buy 15 years ago. It has a couple of little magnet buttons if you can use them. It's very easy to use and is intuitive. Liquid LED? This was sitting in some warehouse for years and it looks like someone found them and decided to sell them. If you liked a 1980's digital Timex this is for you!

Outside of that I like it - display is great
Use this for GMAT prep to time myself while taking questions. I wish there was a reset button for the clock, but that is because I am using this product for what it is intended for... Outside of that I like it - display is great, sound is loud, price is right.Updated this to five stars; thanks to RZleticc for letting me know there is a reset button!
