## Description

The Q5 PLATINUM is the most powerful Fuji Spray system. This 5-stage turbine motor develops approximately 9 5 psi. The additional power allows the user to apply their finish faster and with less time spent on preparation of materials. Incorporated into its design is a proprietary Heat Dissipation Chamber (HDC). The HDC expels excess heat from the turbine, resulting in much cooler operating temperatures. Less heat translates to longer motor life for your turbine. Supplied with the Fuji T-70 non-bleed spray gun with pattern control knob - the fan size is adjustable from small to large, and everything in between (fully incremental). The benefit of non-bleed is that air only passes through the spray gun when the trigger is pulled, resulting in less blowing around of shop dust and less paint buildup on the tip of the fluid nozzle. Obtain a professional finish with all known coatings. The Fuji T-70 is also equipped with a 1Qt bottom feed cup. The standard air cap set is the general purpose #3 (1 3mm) for fine finishing with lacquers, enamels, polyurethanes, latex, water based coatings and more. Easy to maintain. Perfect for professional or beginner. This is an industrial-rated machine at an unbeatable price. Heavy-duty metal case with gun holder. Portable and powerful. Complete system includes the Q5 PLATINUM turbine, T-Model spray gun with 1Qt cup, 25ft hose with quick-connect, air control valve, user manual, viscosity cup, wrench, cleaning brush and the 5-for-5 bonus kit; consisting of a 6' whip hose, wet film gauge, 19-pc spray gun cleaning & maintenance kit with lubricant, extra turbine filter and "Always Measure" booklet - record your material preparation and results. This unit is for North American 120V plug only. For 220V capacity please contact Fuji Spray directly.

Review: As a professional painter, I’ve used several HVLP systems over the years, but the Fuji Q5 Platinum paired with the 2Qt Pressure Cup stands out as one of the most powerful and reliable setups I’ve worked with. Power & Precision: The Q5 Platinum offers 9.5 PSI of pressure, giving me excellent atomization even with high-viscosity coatings like lacquers, urethanes, and even some thicker cabinet paints. The variable speed control is a huge advantage—it lets me fine-tune the turbine pressure based on the material and surface, helping reduce overspray and waste. 2Qt Pressure Cup: The pressure-fed 2-quart cup is a game-changer for larger jobs. It allows for continuous spraying without constantly refilling, and because it's pressure-fed, I can spray in any direction—even upward—without worrying about material flow issues. It's also helped me get a smoother, more consistent finish on vertical surfaces. Build Quality & Noise: The build is solid, professional-grade. It feels like a long-term investment. While the turbine is powerful, it’s surprisingly quiet thanks to the noise-reduction technology built into the Q-series Drawbacks: The system is not cheap, and the pressure cup setup requires careful cleaning and maintenance to prevent clogs. But if you're in this business seriously, it's well worth it for the performance and finish quality it delivers. Final Verdict: The Fuji Q5 Platinum with the 2Qt Pressure Cup is ideal for professionals who demand top quality finishes on cabinets, furniture, or fine woodworking. It’s powerful, precise, and efficient—highly recommended for serious painters and finishers.
Review: I'm a carpenter building cabinetry for new kitchens and closets. I purchased the Fuji Q5 sprayer to keep the finishing in house. This sprayer lives up to its hype. Within a week I could lay down a professional looking finish on shaker style doors, drawer fronts, and panels. The Q5 has a turbine speed control dial right on the front of the box which is nice. But the key to a great finish is the included viscosity cup. Learn how to thin your product to match the air cap set, dial in the turbine output, and you can't go wrong. The included 1.3mm air cap set worked flawlessly for me to lay down an acrylic polyurethane enamel. I was expecting the odd splotch of paint I experienced with other guns. You know, when the gun pukes a few big drips that ruin it, causing you to lose religion and sand it back down and start over. But it didn't happen with this T-70 gun. I only use water-based products because I prefer the easier clean-up, and shorter dry time. I don't have a professional spray booth with air filters and negative pressure. I'm doing this in a 2-car garage with a few tarps covering the floor and two walls. The reason I like water-based is if the paint dries within 5 minutes, there's way less chance for dust and contaminates to land in my fresh paint. The Q5 delivers excellent atomization so the material is dry to the touch within a few minutes. I highly recommend this Fuji Q5 system. Even a beginner like me can spray professional results the first week. Taking my finishing to the next level is now just a matter of operator experience. Fuji's done their part.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: The Q5 pits out 9.5 psi, but the mini mite 4 puts out 9 psi. Is the .5 psi difference (and noise reduction) really worth the $574 difference?**
A: Although the difference in psi is slight, it still allows for superior atomization, and faster application speed. Note that the Q5 is equipped with a variable speed control knob on the turbine to adjust air flow with greater accuracy; the Q4 is not equipped with this feature. Lastly, keep in mind that all Fuji Spray 5-stage systems are equipped with the bonus 5-for-5 accessory package which includes popular accessories such as a whip hose, a cleaning kit, and spare filter(s) to name a few.

**Q: How much 110V wattage is required to power it?**
A: Mine is hooked up to a 20 amp circuit

**Q: Have ordered a Q5 and waiting for delivery. Wanting to purchase an overspray sleeve. What is the widest diameter of the hose/connectors?**
A: Hoses use standard 3/4" garden hose thread fittings.

**Q: How water proof is the machine? Would it survive getting caught in a rain shower?**
A: Although I haven’t been caught in a rainstorm yet, It seems really well sealed. If you get caught in a rainstorm I would just lean a small piece of plywood up against it because she’ll the water it’s a great sprayer!

Simple operation, fairly quiet, quality finish, works great. Realize that there will always be a bit of overspray even when adjusted properly, cut in with brush about 6 inches down from a ceiling when spraying walls then go overtop with a paint roller right after for best results (no need to apply paint to roller if wall sprayed adequately). Utilize drop cloth, respirator, ear plugs, ventilation etc when working indoors without a proper spray booth removing fumes/providing fresh air make up . Choose water base products for health reasons and thin them down appropriately for best results. Have fun!
