In actual fact the mask only goes down if you move one of the legs in. When you let go it springs back open. No idea why they did this instead of a simple open and close mask. My four year old prefers the mask on but it's resting state is open so he got a bit annoyed with it. In hindsight we should have got the normal figure.The Hulk is good though. Very sturdy.
