I’ve bought these collars twice now. I do a LOT of Fostering etc of both cats & dogs. I LOVE THESE bc they can go from 4 lbs (on a Chihauha) to 21 pounds and beyond (a Foster Kitty)! I can send critters out to new furever homes OR reunite them with their humans & they are good to go until the family can pick again! I give them away to ppl who have kitties bc they make an EXCELLENT choice for ANY kitty I’ve ever had & I’ve been doing this 15+ years & have been a kitty momma for over 30 years! **Q: Can the bell be removed ?** A: Yes. My cat has actually manage to break the bell off due to getting stuck (the collar did it’s break away thing as well) but didn’t actually break how the Belle is able to be attach to the collar. The bell is just attach to a keychain hook, so you can easily take the Bell off if desired. **Q: How wide are these--what is the width as opposed to the length? thank you.** A: They are a little bit less than 1/2 inch in width and adjustable in length. Shipped at 10 inches in length from clip end to clip in but expand to probably 11 inches, maybe longer. Easily snaps on an off the cats neck. They look nice and pretty and the colours are very bright. The safety clips are good too, they don't come off too easily so I don't need to constantly replace them, but seems to pull apart easy enough if my cats did get them stuck somewhere I think they could escape. The bells come off very easily though, which is slightly annoying, the ring attachment seems to break quite easily!
