I have never lost an AirPod, even though they fall out of my ears all the time - while doing yardwork, etc. A huge advantage to this product over similar things is that there is a magnet in each end piece. That means when you take off your AirPods and keep them hanging around your neck they form a sort of pendant-like necklacing the center of your chest, rather than dangling separately, which would be both less secure and really annoying. I bought one set of these in 2021, and have used them daily since. One seemed to get a little loose after about four years, and I lost two of them, so it was time to get another set while they are still adequate, The ones I received in January 2026 are not as nice. The magnets not sealed in, and the end pieces are less sturdy. They are about an inch and a half shorter, and the black is a very dark gray. Not as deep-black as the ones from 2021. The worst part is the magnets are weaker, and come disconnected on their own several times a day.
