## Questions & Answers

**Q: The final output received will only be stereo 2 channel? Or can it extract to 5.1? Description is a little unclear.**
A: It can extract 5.1 audio. Depending on the device receiving the audio, you may have to change the audio format from the Xbox/AppleTV/etc. You may have to change the audio output from DTS to PCM or something similar.

**Q: Does this device pass through dolby vision hdr to a dolby vision tv?**
A: Well, if the device failing completely on second use is any indication, no it does not.

**Q: How do you get this to work with sonos arc? i'm about to return this as i can't get it to work with sonos arc using audi only hdmi with earc on.**
A: I had to use the Optical Out. This allowed for 5.1 audio.

The HDFury Arcana can do Dolby Audio over HDMI, but it's quite a bit more. eARC on this device just does the HDMI eARC forwarding if your device supports it and this is connected to the eARC port.

**Q: Hi, can i connect tv with ordinary hdmi to bose soundbar with hdmi earc? will it convert from hdmi source to hdmi earc soundbar?**
A: I suggest you contact Bose customer service for ways to connect your excellent sound bar to your tv. The newer tv s have arc and earc hook up connection and bose may have suggestions on adapters for your tv.

I purchased this in hopes that it would pass Dolby Atmos to both my sound bar and my HDMI wireless headphones. Unfortunately, while it does accept the eARC signal from my TV, it will only pass through standard stereo audio over the HDMI audio out and optical out.3 stars because of the build quality and overall functionality, but it did not meet my specific need so I returned it.

    VERY CHEAPLY MADE - POOR QC - CHEAP INPUT & SWITCH COMPONENTS

OVERPRICED! Unfortunately, very poor components: both the optical input and EDID switch. Optical input physically very unstable. Optical solder points are all that mounts the op. input switch. Buyer beware. EDID switch very low quality/cheap and does not have the feel of stopping on any of the audio output choices (slides across the switch). I did not anticipate receiving an audiophile/high-end version of an HDMI extractor but this is low-end only. I was so concerned about the op. input and EDID switch that I chose NOT to turn it on so I wouldn't  accidentally damage my home theater system from something shorting out. I suggest checking out J-Tech or something further up the food chain. OVERPRICED!
