## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the difference between the two tables?? One says black aluminum and one says black steel, but the aluminum one is more expensive??**
A: Aluminum Does not RUST !!!! it's often more difficult to work with such as welding. Overall aluminum for it's light weight properties plus superb outdoor non rust qualities makes it higher priced when compared to similar or same item in steel. You can paint steel and for some years it might hold up well without rusting but over time it tends to get moisture that rusts inside any tubes or exposed areas that aren't painted like where a screw goes through and voila rust happens. I will pay more if reasonable for aluminum due to the weight and the no rust properties. However now and again steel can out perform aluminum if you need strength. For example scaffolding for working on houses. I bought an aluminum scaffolding paying a price for it but the sellers baited and switched to steel. I had it unloaded on at the house from truck delivery before I realized it was not what was ordered & I had proof it was suppose to be the aluminum. In the end I kept it because sellers offered 3 different ways to return it. One would cost me 300 out of pocket expense and the other two though not great well yeah. In the end yes it's more sturdy for outdoor use. HOWEVER I did not want outdoor use. I bought to to be able to clean our 24 and 16" open beam ceilings and walls that had never been cleaned since built in the 50's by previous owners and original builders. So hubby happy it was steel for outdoor use. Me unhappy it was steel for indoor use and the aluminum also was 18' high the steel was 17'. In the end it did matter weight wise to me. I'm 5' tall and though very good shape for in my 70's I'm not as strong as I was in you younger caving/rock climbing hey days. And you build approx 6 foot sections up like gated boxes all the way up with decks added on as you go. I also had ordered split aluminum floor or decks and they came as wooden and steel too. For my outdoor use I always buy aluminum if strength is similar quality and in the case of this table I'd go with the more expensive aluminum. I don't want to add any more weight to carry in my limited storage area of the mini RV Class B+ I own than needed. In the end I opted out of this and decided to stay with my light weight plastic tables actually. They do not hang off a tire making them far more portable and they do not take up any more room than these do. But aluminum would be my choice based on if I can afford the steel version  could afford the higher priced aluminum option just go keep the weight down and deal with no rust ever. Mind you if there are joints and screws involved if not stainless over time they will rust however. I love that the makers of these tables offer us a choice and 2 sizes too. I also am impressed with the weight they can hold. Say you need to repair something when traveling on the road you have a table you can trust to do work on. You may need to apply a piece of cardboard under the work area to make it easier to work on due to the mesh properties of the table top itself but I'm still considering this table despite it not being portable around a camp area like a detached table is. A lot of the detached tables are not as sturdy or will bare as much weight though. It's all a trade off. You pick what meets your individual life and life style best.

**Q: Why is this $175?  It doesn't even have "overland" in the name.**
A: The price is absolutely stupid. Everyone can see exactly what it is and what went into it.

**Q: $150 for 5.5 lbs of aluminum?  I'm in the wrong business.**
A: Steel

**Q: Is this really that much handier than just bringing a small card table along for a fraction of the price??**
A: Absolutely not. And the card table will be far studier. Save your money.

I gotta say, it feels a little cheaper than I expected for the price, but it does work well and seems to hold a fair amount of weight easily and securely. The dial locks are cheap plastic, but they aren't meant to be torqed all that hard so maybe it's fine. It's lightweight and easy to use.
