Product description If your space is at a premium, and you’re looking f or an extremely small analog alarm clock that did not have to be plugged in, truly silent, no glaring light in your face, sturdy enough, with an easy-to read face, a snooze button, easy operation, & dependable. So far this delicate and exquisite clock is all of that. This clock is about 2 ¼ (L) x 1 ¼(W) x 2 ¼" (H) inches, extremely small, perfect and fits into all sorts of tiny spaces. And really nice when space is at a premium. If you need it for travel, it's a nice compact size, easy to pack away just about anywhere. Belongs in every traveler's grab-bag of tricks. Just thrown in luggage and survived without problem. Easy to silence Progressively faster and louder alarm The alarm, which is a beeping noise that starts out at one pace & progressively gets faster and louder in 4 stages. The alarm turn-off was just a pop-top button you could punch down with a sleepy hand to turn it off when it sounded, easy to silence. Alarm lasts for approximate 50 minutes, and gets pretty loud in the end. Easy to silence with the pop-top alarm off button There is no AM / PM setting you need to arm the alarm when you go to bed or at least during the 12 hours previous to when you want the alarm to sound. Don't worry, it becomes an easy habit. The size and shape and look and feel of this clock are terrific. It's such a nice thing simply to touch and hold. You'll love this clock because it is decorative while also being very functional. It's small but it works great for what I need for bedroom, desk or travel. Battery operated only It takes 1 regular AA batteries, not the button type, so you can replace them on the road easily at a hotel gift shop. The battery cover is located in the back of the clock towards the bottom and it is very easy to remove and return. The AA battery pops in nicely and is able to last over 6 months and will be still going strong. 5-minute snooze That button is nicely placed on the upper right-hand front corner, and when the alarm sounds, it’s also the button for a snooze delay. Fluorescent hands Place this clock in a bright light, the fluorescent hour and minute handscan can lit for half an hour. Note: There's a small button you can push so a light comes on and you can read the time when dark. Review: Wonderful little alarm clock - This is a wonderful little alarm clock. Mine just finally died after I dropped it. It was 8 years old! It is quiet and keeps good time. The alarm is not loud, but loud enough to awaken me. I don't use the snooze alarm feature so can't speak to that. It usually lives in the bathroom and appears to deal well with a humid, damp environment. I move it into the bedroom to help me wake up for early morning appointments, now that I am retired. These battery clocks are perfect. These are quiet, reliable, and attractive. The hands do glow in the dark, for a while anyway. We've charged them under a light during the day, and they're glowing as we go to sleep. They're not glowing by morning, but there is a light in the corner which you can turn on by pressing a button any time, in order to light the dial. The alarm will be sufficient for most people, I think, but probably not for heavy sleepers. It comes on as a beep, gets a little louder (a little), and then it switches to a steady on. It works for us. Easy to insert the battery, easy to read, has a sweeping second hand, quiet, and very reliable. We like the cheerful colors, too. Very happy that we bought these.

**Q: Does pressing and holding the light/snooze button keep the light on indefinitely? Or does it time out regardless of hold after a short time?**
A: The light does not stay on or "time out". When you press the light/snooze button, the light comes on and it goes out as soon as you release the button. Simple as that. This is a great little clock.

**Q: The last clock I got that claimed to be silent developed a gradual loud/rapid ticking.  Has this clock stayed silent for those who've had it months?**
A: Have had the clock for about one month. It is quiet, no problem. My only complaint is that it is too small: My vision is not perfect, I cannot read the time without my glasses, especially on waking during twilight. The hands are white, though outlined in black against a white background. Probably not a problem for a younger person.

**Q: Is this clock silent or quiet?**
A: The clock is silent unless you put it against your ear. There is no ticking sound. The second hand turns smoothly like a plug in clock. I have never seen this type of movement in a battery clock.

**Q: How do you set the alarm for 6 am as opposed to 6 pm?**
A: Since the alarm sounds for nearly 1 hour, for 6 am you have to wait until 7 pm has passed in order to set for 6 am, and vice versa.

This is a wonderful little alarm clock. Mine just finally died after I dropped it. It was 8 years old! It is quiet and keeps good time. The alarm is not loud, but loud enough to awaken me.
