JCG Gigabit Router, Dual Band 11AC Wireless 2.4G/600Mbps + 5G/1300Mbps MU-MIMO Wi-Fi Router with 6 Antennas, 1 USB 3.0 Port (JHR-AC860M)

The hardware works well and did get rid of my homes "dark spots". The interface did not work as well. It would not update any settings and kept sending me to the log-in screen after pressing "save" on any settings after I changed the name of the 2.4G network. I couldn't even save the name of the 5G network. Finally after a few factory resets and updating the latest firmware from the router interface itself (not available on JCG's site downloads). After a few attempts the "check for new firmware" function finally worked and let me download and update to the latest firmware (which is not listed in the downloads on the website). After the update and factory reset, it seems to be functioning correctly. The first thing you should do after plugging in the router is go to the firmware update section and update the device. The interface is not as robust as my other routers but has most of the functions you expect to have on a device such as this.

When it worker it was great. However, it timed out and the changing the settings did nothing to fix it. I tried for days. It's interface was not made for the USA market and it didn't seem to translate well. The settings other routers have just weren't there. When I asked about any updates to the firmware, the seller sent me what it already came with, but no firmware. So after some more frustration, I returned it.

Update, JCG contacted me and offered to send a new router with technical support to get it working. I tried it for an hour the first night, no go, thought I'd give it one more try tonight. It took about 3-4 tries & finally auto detected. Not the easiest router to set up, MAC filtering is confusing on this router. Speed is ok but not as fast as I expected it should be. I give JCG credit for reaching out to try to make it right.I read good reviews for this router & was excited to receive it. Really nice packaging & construction appears well made. I've set up at least six or seven different routers of all different brands so I do know how they work & usually takes me 15 minutes tops. I tried for SIX hours to get this router to work, it would not allow any of my devices to connect. Also noticed that everytime I tried to save the time it would not save. It was like the movie Groundhog Day over and over. I really wanted this router to work & perform like the reviews I read. I ended up returning it. Six hours is way too much time to have to fiddle just to get a connection.

Fast and reliable. I have been using this router for a few months now and have not had any problems with it. The connection speed is consistent except when my modem drops out (of course). I have no problem accessing either the high or low-bandwidth connection anywhere on my property.

works well, doesnt extend as far as I completely hoped but reaches pretty well. the service I got was great though.

Best device which i got, if you have max 100mbps from your ISP than you will get this speed also n Wi-Fi connection !!!

Received fairly quickly and initially worked without much hassle. However, this did not last even a year before it started dying and rejecting connections for no reason. Emailed customer support, did not get a response.
