Best grip attachment I've tried thus far.
I have 3 different versions on the RX100, and I've tried just about every grip attachment there is. This is by far my favorite grip to date. I've liked that it can easily be removed, and reinstalled. This is a must if you put the camera in a dive housing as I do quite often. Before I had my Mark II as the dedicated dive camera because I never attached a grip on it. Now I can use my Mark V in any situation and have the much needed extra grip for everyday use too. This grip does add a little size and heft over other grips I've used but it's definitely not a deal breaker. I'm 6'6 and wear non skinny type jeans and shorts and haven't had an issue pocketing it. The grip will also add some protection to the bottom of the camera. Over all I would recommend this grip if you need a grip that can easily be remove from time to time.

sucks, but nothing better.
got this to help mount to a gimbal since the tripod screw allows more clearance against part of the gimbal than without.problem: this attachment doesn't screw in snugly enough to prevent movement between the grip and the camera. have to constantly readjust while on gimbal.keeping it because, while annoying, it seems the others offered out there are worse. but i kind of hate it.

Decent for the lack of options out there..
Wanted to add some grip to my street camera and needed something a little more robust than the 'stick-on' versions as there is no true camera cage for the RX. This does the job, yet I did fix the issue stated in others reviews that the 1/4-20 camera mount was too shallow. Fortunately the aluminum series is very soft, I chose a drill bit that just fit agenst the threads to drill through and then tapped new threads. This solves the depth problem and makes the mount totally useful to compliment the fact that it sits inline with the lense. The edges feel hard and too squared off but did not translate in normal use. The best part is now I have a tactile orientation when gabbing my camera from my bag or pocket.

Difficulty mounting on tripod or gimbal.
As a walk around L Plate, works well. However, if you want to mount the camera—while attached to the L Plate—to a tripod or a gimbal, you're going to have a problem. As other reviewers have noted, the screw in you tripod plate will not fully screw into the L Plate WAG-RX100. The hole is too shallow! You will need to find a shorter screw to make it work.

But this plate attched nicely on my RX100V
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The screw hole on the bottom of this plate is too shallow. My tripod quick release plate can't be attached to this plate. But this plate attched nicely on my RX100V. If the tripod screw hole is deeper, it would have been perfect. See my video. It explains everything.

Everything is fine, except for the dent.

Worth it.
I prefer to shoot the rx1000ii with this attached. Makes it easier to grip the camera one handed. It's OK, doesn't fit up 100% perfectly with the camera.. Maybe 98%. Good enough to be quite functional, but the camera always feels like it is carrying an attachment, it's not seamless.
