It was everything I hoped! I have short-ish curly hair, quite white in front and still dark brunette at the back. I’m not a hair and makeup person at all, so I need products that are easy to use! I tried a few strands ahead of time and the color was good and it came right out. So on the day, I slapped a generous amount into my hair and worked it in like any hair product. It has a nice scent, not too strong. Initially it feels a bit heavy and sticky, and stayed wet on my hair for quite a long time. I ended up borrowing a hair dryer and blasted it for a couple of minutes. At that point, it was dry, and did not come off. The drip I got on my shirt wiped right off with a towel. My resulting curls were shimmery and well colored, if a bit stiff and crunchy. The color stayed put all day, and didn’t even rub off on my pillow when I napped. The product came out easily with a single wash, leaving no trace of color even on my whitest hairs. I’ll be buying this in more colors! I think when I use it not as part of a costume, I may apply it selectively to my lightest greys and leave my darker bits their natural color.
