I've used this for years and it is a good product. **Q: Does this produce a thin blue smoke or more of a white billowing smoke paired with the amazing maze?** A: I have a similar smoker tray, the smoke should be white (it's just hickory sawdust) - I believe blue smoke would indicate some sort of foreign material smoldering. **Q: Is this fine enough for a smoking gun or cocktail smoker?** A: I use this for smoking meat in my Masterbilt Smoker. I use the electric smoker to prevent introducing off flavors from poor quality charcoal and I have never had a good experience with pellet smokers. But this raw/pure sawdust gives off clean smoke.
