It's a guess. As someone who has played Sudoku for a while, I was able to ignore this, but a new player may struggle to solve puzzles from fear of guessing.However, this book was well worth the money, with 330 easy, 342 medium, and 330 hard, you'll be busy for the entire year. The easy puzzles take about 3-5 min, and the medium require minimal guesswork. The hard ones truly are difficult, but not so much so that you want to scream. In short, it's a great choice for someone just starting off, though maybe not for very experienced players. I fall in the former category, so it worked out.Some people were upset that there were six puzzles per page, but if there were less, this book would be incredibly bulky. The book is also a few inches wider and and taller than a composition notebook, so there's enough room to easily focus on one puzzle at a time, but just be careful.All in all, I like this book because there are plenty of puzzles and I can use the easy ones at night when I'm tired or to teach friends how to play. Well done, Funster! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just Right *by C***G on Reviewed in the United States on March 24, 2022* These puzzles are reasonable size, on decent paper, and well-graded for difficulty.Lots of Sudoku for your buck. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You learn as you go which makes the hard easier. *by C***R on Reviewed in the United States on May 27, 2018* This was supposed to be easy to hard but that assumed no learning. I found that I made mistakes in the easy such that I had 30 mistakes or a 90.9% success rate there. I measured success by using a pen & if I picked the wrong number than that puzzle was counted as one mistakes no matter how far I went, & how many errors there were before the mistake was detected. Once there was one mistake in a puzzle than any others didn't count. I attribute the mistakes to going to fast & just not seeing some objection to placing a wrong number where I had placed it. The medium puzzles had 49 mistakes for a 85.7% rate. This decrease I expected since it was harder. Again going too fast & not seeing something before I wrote. The hard produced a surprise in that the first 110 had 70.9% as was the second 110. Both at 70.9%. When I got to the third 110, I made an effort to slow down, & think. I also took advantage of insights I had gained along the way.
