I compared it to my friend's GoPro Hero4 black, and it was at least as good as if not even better than the GoPro due to the touch screen. The camera seems well built and has lots of features such as distortion correction and gyro stabilization. I also bought the remote watch and functions great with it, especially when attached to a helmet, etc. The only downside that I see with the camera is the internal microphone, which is pretty useless. I will probably purchase the external mic and see how well it improves the sound. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good for car dash-camera but not good enough to record good videos *by I***N on July 16, 2018* I don't know if my camera was some sort of a lemon or not, but I'm writing this review assuming it was not.So some good things about this camera:* Touch screen is the back is pretty good (I found the front display to be useless)* The charging and file-transfer speed are super-fast, best I've seen from USB device (it works better as an external USB storage than a camera)* Can be used as camera, PC camera and dash camera while charging* Priced around 100 bucks it has a lot of featuresAnd now here is the bad (these thing made me return the camera at the end)* FOV - they advertise Narrow, Mid and Wide, but there is very little difference between them, Wide is NOT 170 degrees that are advertised. I used the GoPro3 that is advertised as 145° and it is leaps and bounds better than the SJ6. I would say the SJ6 is around 90° max (horizontal)* Video quality is good for the price, however it's not really a 4K camera, so for my use the video quality was not good enough in either 4k or 1080* Sound recording - very flat, internal microphone is acceptable but doesn't shine at any condition. When using the underwater case there is no sound at all, and external microphone is not provided in the box.* UI - very disappointing. Although there are many options and easy to use with the touchscreen, it is very badly designed and very buggy. Too easy to erase videos or format the SD by mistake. In some cases the menu just dies and you cannot bring it back. With the underwater case it is even worse, instead of recording the video it goes into picture mode and many many other glitches that make the camera unreliable.* Phone app - clearly this is a very cheaply made app. It has many problems in connecting and transferring data and the range is very short (google it). I can't imagine any usecase in which this app is useful.Summary - as in many cases, you get what you pay for and not an ounce more. I was expecting a GoPro performance for a cheaper price but don't believe any of the comparison videos, it's not even close, unless you want to use it as a cheap dash-cam you will need to cough-up another $100 and buy something good. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We were thrilled with this wonderful camera.
