I can't believe I hadn't thought of these before. They smell very strong of lavender and citronella when you open the package but when you have one on your wrist or ankle it's not noticeable. The braids are quite short when you wear them on the ankle, so if you have large ankles they may not be any good for you (minus a star for this) I've worn one every day this week, school run, gardening , dog walking and at night and I haven't been bitten all over like the week before. My son has also been wearing them as he gets bitten too, thankfully a selection of colours for his pickiness and he's seen a real improvement especially after being outside playing sports in the grass.
