It does hydrate the face and absorb into the skin quickly. So sometimes i'm not sure if i'm getting enough hydration, but it doesn't feel like it's stripping my skin. I also bought the barrier cream for moisturization, so I feel like that absorbs really well with it. This toner does clarify. Because if I miss anything after washing my face it does pick it up like immediately. You could tell the difference on when you use it.
