But they ran out and I noticed my hair did seem more gray after about a month. Now 3 1/2 months later, the hairs falling out show the different colors. And it seems the gray hairs fall out more quickly than the color hair. The ends are very grey, then it's 5 inches of color, shine and smoother shaft, then the new hair closest to the roots shows greying again, but not as severe. (My hair's about 9 inches long.) I think it works best on hair that's just turning gray. I'm glad it's in stock again. In the interim I've been using catalase shampoo, conditioner and Absonutrix Anti-Grey and it's not the same! I can see the difference in the fallen-out hair.ORIGINAL: Remember, it takes time for the effects of enzymes, medicines, etc. to come through our scalps and into our hair. The new hair coming out is most affected. So I waited a few months of using Catalase to see if it really works. I have sporadic greying, noticable but no solid grey patches - yet! This seems to be working; I see less and less grey in my dark blond and more importantly, I have been receiving compliments on how good I'm looking and I haven't changed anything else! About the last 5 years I really started to notice it. The top of my head was still mostly dark, maybe 95% but the sides not so much, maybe 75%.I even cut off my goatee as I didn't like the amount of gray in it. Being somewhat hairy, I noticed that my chest hair turned almost white.I had been using Grecian Formula twice a week to control the gray in my hair. It worked reasonably well but still left about 50% gray on the sides.That's when I decided to try these pills, figuring, "what do I have to lose?". At the same time, I stopped using Grecian Formula to see if it at least kept up with it. In less than two weeks I can honestly say that the hair on the side of my head seemed to be no worse than when I used the Grecian Formula. Perhaps It was no better either.Than I started to noticed hair on various parts of my body changing, my chest hair, beard and mustache, even the dreaded hair coming from my ears. How and when I started getting hair coming in my ears I don't know.Anyway, I am about to reorder these pills to continue the experiment. I'd say that the hair on the side on my head is about 33% gray after about 3 and half weeks. I can live with that, and will hope for even more improvement.PS: I forgot to mention that my wife bought a "shining" type shampoo. I used it a few times and it seemed to highlight my gray hairs more thamn regular shampoo. I recommend never using a shampoo that indicates it will shine your hair, as gray become more noticeable. That's regardless of any product you may or may not use.UPDATE: 9/3/12 - The product never fully did the job I expected (or even close), so I lowered the rating to a 3 star. I'd probably rate it a 2 and half star, if such a rating was available, but I didn't want to lower it all the way to a 2 star after starting with a 4 star. I've stopped taking it for a while now to see if my gray got much worse. It has started to get worse again.
