To me, as the tire roles forward, the narrow part of the 'V' hits the water, etc., first, pushing the water out to the side as the 'V' get wider. Both my cars have similar 'V' pattern and they were mounted that way by the tire shop(s). So either everything I ride/drive is either 100% wrong or 100% right. Hope this helps. **Q: How would these tires do with a 50cc motorized bike?** A: I have been riding motorized bikes for twelve years. Yes I make them too. I use these tires and get 700 miles of use on the rear tire and 1500 on the front tire. I ordered a 700cc x 38 tire. **Q: Is the wheel EXACTLY like the wheel in the picture?** A: I bought the rubber tire, and it is exactly as pictured, with the large, knobby bumps. Overall good tires and can’t wait to use em on a long ride ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by C***E on 13 November 2012* Bought these for my 29er mountain bike for occasional road use when knobby tires are not practical. Changing tires is sort of a pain but for now it saves from buying another bike and I really like the ride of my mountain bike. These tires are 38mm in width and so they seem pretty narrow on my mountain bike. They do fit my 29er rims just fine. The inner tubes for my mountain tires were too big for these tires, so I had to purchase a smaller tube size. These tires roll smooth and fast on the road compared to my knobby tires (as one would expect). On the road they serve my purpose just fine. I haven't noticed any issues with the fit or shape of these tires when inflated. They don't wobble or any such thing. As far as easy trail and off-road use they are OK, but they are not for serious off-road use, and definitely not for mountain biking in any kind of rough terrain. If 25% or more of my total bike trip was mountain bike trails I would rather have my knobby tires on, even if my trip consisted of 75% road. But these tires handle easy trails pretty well. One thing to note is that because these tires are fairly narrow they don't do well on soft gravel, sand, or other soft surfaces as they tend to sink down. This makes peddling difficult. Again, my big, low pressure mountain tires are much better in these situations. These tires have pretty thick tread and so far I haven't gotten a flat. I haven't used them enough to see how they will wear, but so far I've not noticed any visible tread wear.
