It is smashed grilled egg plant that is already peeled. **Q: How long can an Opened jar be used?** A: If you are making baba ganoush, by just adding mayo and garlic it won't last long, soooo good! A jar typically doesn't make it longer than a week in our refrigerator and it's just fine, beyond that I wouldn't know. Ordering the 6 pack is much cheaper too, that's what we do. Also, we really load up the garlic because of the health benefits. Since regular mayo may not be ideal health wise, we use avocado mayo "Fallow your heart" brand, in the cooler section, a bit more expensive, but worth it, we no longer miss the regular mayo. best! **Q: Can someone please describe what it is supposed to taste like?
