I have no way of testing how well it performs as a UV shield. I ordered a clear one and a tinted one. The former arrived intact, the latter did not. The packaging is a joke, just a flimsy paper box in an Amazon mailing bag. They accepted the return of the broken shield, and have agreed to replace it. According to Amazon it is in the mail.
