If I spread my fingers out wide and measure across on the palm side from my pinky to the thumb, it's about 8 1/4". I think a size Large might have been a bit more comfortable at first use, but would probably be a bit baggy and possibly reduce sensation and finger sensation and dexterity. Just a little FYI about disposable gloves.... you should always store them in a Zip-Lock bag in preferably out of sunlight and extreme temperatures so that the material doesn't break down and degrade due to exposure to the air and sunlight, so just toss the whole thing (box included) right inside a large ziplock bag once you've opened it to make sure they last a long time in storage between uses.
