Purpose of this is to have the ability to run your camera anywhere via POE without having to have Power outlet close. I have a POE switch in my basement closet, I ran Cat6 in my attic and hooked it up to this POE adapter, then ran the USB cord out the soffits. I electrical taped the Cat6 and USB ends just for weather proofing, but is works great. As for support for 2 camera, a Wyze camera is 1v, this POE adapter can handle 2v, I purchased a Micro USB Splitter and was able to power 2 camera off it with no issues.(Side note i did find another POE adapter (Search B0D9ZZPGYH in amazon) that goes to USB A female not Micro, then I used a USB A male to female Splitter, this was cheaper and easier as i just used the cords the Wyze cameras came with) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ethernet Cord Used For Power *by T***S on November 2, 2024* I was able to use my prewired house ethernet cables for internet cameras just to power the cams.
