Michelle shows you how to take, what we would call, ordinary trash and turn it into lush plants that produce a bountiful harvest of food for months (or even longer). I was impressed with how much information is packed into this easy to read book and the pictures were beautiful. I found myself taking notes while reading and plan on making a list of those fruits and veggies I would normally throw away to put on the fridge to remind me to save them and plant them. This book would be great for people who would love to show their children the wonders of growing their own food without too much fuss. Most of the ideas in this book are feasible even in a city apartment. If you have a sunny window you are in business. Highly recommended this book. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent, Concise Growing Directions *by T***E on Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2016* I am an experienced gardener and I was very impressed with this book. I have grown my own herbs on my windowsills for a number of years now, and I know this is precisely how to do it from my own experience. I can't wait to try growing my own piece of ginger ryzome for my own ginger plant. Since the author's directions are so accurate for common herbs, I sure her directions for ginger are just as good. As a child, I remember my Mom helping me plant an avocado pit in large pot. It grew so big compared to me, I felt so mighty, for a five year old! It was an experience I still remember sixty years later. This would make a wonderful family project book.
