In both cases, it added more smoke to my meat than I have ever been able to achieve without it. On the charcoal grill, I smoke my steaks for an hour before lighting the charcoal. On the Traeger, I simply added this for extra smoke during my normal cooking (ribs). I recommend this item to anyone looking for more smoke. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Nice Smoke *by T***H on Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2019* I added this to my pellet smoker for some extra smoke. I use a mini blow torch to get to started and I leave it flaming for a few minutes and it usually stops flaming and starts smoldering on its own. I got it instead of the official GMG option because it looked the same as far as the holes and it is square-ish shaped so it doesn’t roll around. I can fill it half way or all the way and use the blow torch to get it started and it adds a lot of smoke! Got it burning with a propane torch, laid it down in the fire box, put three different cheeses in the smoke box, waited three hours and voilà. Easiest thing imaginable. Smoke box temp remained same as ambient and even the Monterrey Jack turned out great. No melting whatsoever.
